EMA spa, costituita nel 1994, è un’azienda partecipata al 100% da Rolls-Royce Group plc e rappresenta l’unica realtà industriale sul territorio nazionale che produce e commercializza pale rotoriche e statoriche in superlega per turbine destinate al settore aeronautico (motori civili e militari) e alla produzione di energia elettrica. Tra i primi 5 player mondiali del suo settore, EMA occupa circa 500 persone, posizionandosi subito dopo giganti mondiali.
Rolls-Royce, in particolare, secondo costruttore al mondo di motori aeronautici, ha sin dall’inizio investito e creduto nella capacità dello stabilimento EMA e nelle competenze e nell’esperienza delle sue risorse umane, tanto da passare In pochi anni dal 33% all’attuale 100% del capitale azionario.
Sin dalla sua nascita, EMA ha dato grande importanza alla ricerca e all’innovazione. Oggi investe quasi il 4% del fatturato in R&S, in programmi di ricerca che si concentrano sulle tecnologie e sui materiali di base per il processo di microfusione e sull’ottimizzazione dei metodi di manifattura, con lo scopo di generare eccellenza tecnologica, aumentare l’efficienza industriale, migliorare la propria competitività rispetto ai concorrenti mondiali. EMA dispone a Morra De Sanctis (Av) di uno stabilimento produttivo ad alta efficienza, oggetto di un continuativo piano d’investimenti, volto all’automatizzazione e al controllo informatico dei parametri di processo, soprattutto di quelli più critici.

EMA spa, founded in 1994 and whose shares are 100% owned by the Rolls-Royce Group P.L.C., is the only industrial company in Italy manufacturing super-alloy rotor and stator turbine blades meant for the aircraft industry (both civil and military engines) along with the production of electrical energy. Among the top 5 global players in its industry, EMA employs about 500 people, following, in ranking, the global giants only. Rolls-Royce, the world’s second largest manufacturer of aircraft engines, has since the very beginning invested and believed in the ability of the Italian plant EMA, and relies on the competence and experience of its Human Resources, so as to move, in a few years, from 33% to the current 100% of the capital share. Since its birth, EMA has given great importance to both research and innovation.
